Schools in Coimbatore recognised for effective implementation of ‘Uyir Kutty Cops’ programme
Uyir, a non-governmental organisation working in the field of road safety, joined hands with Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) on Friday to organise a Road Safety Convention for school principals and teachers, and host a felicitation ceremony to appreciate schools that have effectively implemented the Uyir Kutty Cops programme in Coimbatore. Coimbatore City Police Commissioner A. Saravana Sundar honoured the schools with certificates of appreciation. Ashok Kumar, DC-Traffic, Coimbatore; Balamurali, Chief Education Officer, Coimbatore; Prabhu Nagaraj, Operating Officer- Corporate Affairs, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India; principals of various government and private schools and members of Uyir took part in the programme.
